What we do
Impulse 4418 competes in the annual FIRST Robotic Competition (FRC) events. During competition season, which lasts around 8 weeks, we design, prototype, build, and refine a robot to compete in the year's challenge. Every aspect of the robot is done by the team members, from the fabrication that gives it shape to the software that makes it move. Meanwhile, our business team fundraises and seeks sponsors as well as prepares our presentation for a shot at the Impact Award.
What you'll gain
When you join Impulse, you'll gain real-world engineering or business experience from day one. Participate in a team sport* like no other, from offseason to kickoff to the final regional. Experience the excitement and thrill of the competitions and the buzzing hive of activity in the pits. Meet like-minded peers who share your passion for innovation and problem-solving - from all over the country.
You'll also boost your college and scholarship applications and join the wider community of FRC alumni worldwide.
*Yes, we consider robotics a sport.
